A Fluid Situation

I remember as a little girl being at the grocery store with my mom going through a busy checkout line and watching her with her checkbook as she settled up with the cashier for all the goods in the basket. I specifically remember leaning up over the counter and wondering about things I had read in the Bible. I had read some passages in Revelation about the “mark of the beast,” which fascinated me. It actually crossed my mind quite a few times back then, especially when at the grocery store with my mom while we were going through the check out line. I wondered what it would be like to be in a store paying for groceries, but with no cash, no checks, no credit card, and all the cashier would have to do is look for a mark on your forehead or hand in order to be allowed to proceed on to the bagging of the groceries, while then being waved out the door with a friendly “have a nice day.”

I know now that the mark of the beast is not necessarily the same thing as a one-world currency, but Revelation does talk about both being in place prior to the Second Coming of Jesus. If they are eventually the same, time will tell, but forty years ago those types of things seemed impossible. How could we function without cash and how could a number mark on your body be tied to your bank account? As a kid with a young mind or someone else with an older mind, back then it seemed impossible. And I was baffled on how this could ever actually come to be. Not in my lifetime, I’d say to myself.

Human microchip technology is here. You can do your own research on RFID, which stands for radio-frequency identification. There are already a few states in the U.S. that are fighting this type of technology now, and there are a few companies abroad already using it. And while I don’t at all consider RFID technology to be the mark of the beast, I do think it is highly possible that this technology we are seeing today is the beginning stages of what may be in the prophetic plan for later days down the road. I do not think it is coincidental.

Back in the day — and I’m sure I wasn’t alone in my thoughts when it came to the prophecy of a one world system — I wondered how this would ever become possible. It sounded too futuristic to worry about that much, affecting me anyway, because it was too far away to even consider. Especially to happen in America! When I started reading these things in the Bible it was in the early 70’s and we were singing “God Bless America” almost every day in the classroom, along with prayer thanking God for blessing our country. We were strong, and solid. So, how could our leaders in America or our citizens ever agree to be blended in with the rest of the world as one establishment? Our government would never let that happen. We would have to be in very bad shape before anything like that could ever happen. Nope! Not in my lifetime, I’d say to myself.

First of all, the integration of national economy is into a global economy. That’s here;  that’s done! And, so the question is not whether or not there’s gonna be an international, global economy. There is one.

And we’re building an inclusive society, in which everybody’s got a fair shot. That’s how we’re gonna solve these problems. So, we’re gonna keep on pushing hard to shape an international order that works for our people. ~ President Barack Obama, North American Leaders Summit, June 29, 2016

It’s one thing to hear about these things and it’s one thing to read about them. But it is absolutely chilling for me to have watched with my own eyes and listened with my own ears what was coming directly out of the President’s mouth on that video news clip. So, just like Obama said — and he would know — it is here and it is moving forward. It’s surreal. And, it’s surreal because I am looking at this through a biblical, prophetic view which gives us ample evidence to draw the conclusion that a one-world system will exist under the rule of the Antichrist in the last days. The stage is being set. How long will it take? I don’t know, but what I do know is 2016 has been extremely eventful and there is no telling what is in store for the days ahead — especially moving towards this election. We are currently in a very fluid situation.

So, if I were to take my Christian, biblical lenses off, what would be so bad about all of this global direction? Like Obama said, that’s how we’re gonna solve our problems. It’s the only way out of this mess we’re in, so really — what would be so wrong with a global government that distributes the wealth all the way into third world countries? All living in peace. Taming down the need for nuclear war because everyone is going to love each other. As John Lennon said, no need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man. All the while, further taxing my already maxed-out paycheck for global efforts, such as climate change, aka sustainable development, in order to save the planet by controlling the weather. Because like John Kerry said, our air conditioners are a bigger danger to us than terrorism; maybe I should listen to his reasoning — maybe he is right. And, all religions coming together as one? No more “one nation under God” because it would be “one world under god.” Or else! Or else what? What’s so bad about that? (By the way, the lower case “g” on “god” is not a typo.)

Delusion setting in, through rationalization, is what concerns me the most about the direction we are heading. I don’t necessarily think most globalists are intentionally evil, at all. I really think they feel this is the best path for mankind. Again, it’s the delusion and how they honestly can’t see and understand what is going on that startles me. And I’m already seeing this happen with people I know. And its sad. Conversing about it will go nowhere because it is like talking to a brick wall to those who haven’t woken up yet; unable to see the path being paved, leading to a not so good destination, taking place right in front of their eyes while they are cheering it on!

Man is going to pave the way to a global currency, government, and religion. It is written and it is prophesied because these things must take place in order for God to fulfill His plan. But just for those who don’t understand reading this, God does not like the global effort to take care of life’s problems. It doesn’t work. He knows it doesn’t work and He knows it leads people down the road closer to destruction and further away from His love and protection. He is our Creator and Father who loves us. The only way to prosper and live peacefully is through His guidance and by placing all trust and faith in Him. The problems we are facing here are happening to the entire world right now, not just America. And, on a global and national level, we have turned our backs against Him. It should be no surprise judgment is beginning to set in, as we have put ourselves in the position to suffer the consequences of the problems we have caused. And a global government is the furthest thing there is for a solution.

One of my biggest challenges lately is getting over the fact that I can no longer trust what is being reported in the news. Sure, for major happenings being reported, of course. But when it comes to anything related to laws, politics, and the White House, Congress, this election, etc., there is so much twisted reporting going on right now, who knows what’s true and what’s not. I see so much being played out on emotion versus the facts and people will say anything. It’s almost impossible to get a handle on it. Perhaps this is God’s way of reminding me that we should never get ahead of what He wishes to reveal to us, as He will reveal the truth in His mystery. He will tell us what we need to know in His time, and sometimes there are things that we just don’t need to know. Yes, this is taking obedience to not be totally frustrated in trying to figure everything out, but I’m working on it. And this also allows me more time in the Bible, where I know I’m safe to read and believe and be led by every word it speaks. And that alone brings me peace.

From an unbeliever’s perspective who knows me and reads this blog, it must seem confusing. Confusing that I am very, very anxious for the Lord’s soon return, however, distraught over watching things that must take place in order for that to happen as it is written in scripture. Well, it is distressing because of fact that there are so many multitudes of people on this earth that aren’t going to make it to heaven. Again, you read and hear about these current events, but things are seeming different now because we are visibly in motion (according to what the Bible has to say) towards the end of the times. Lisa reminded me of a great prophecy comparison the other day, how all of this transpiring is like the wind. You can’t actually see the wind, as it is invisible, but when it blows you can see the physical result of its presence as well as it’s aftermath. Just like prophetic events, things just seem to happen and it’s not until you look back at it you go, “wow.”

It overwhelms me that God loves us so much that He is going to all of this trouble, as written from the very beginning in Genesis all the way through the end of Revelation, to make sure we end up in Heaven with Him forever. And if you think about it, because he gave us free will, there really is no other way the story could go or any other way for Him to go about it in order to get us into eternity with Him, than what is written. He knew this all along. Even before the beginning. Amazing.

No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God–his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. (1 Corinthians 2:7)

Holding fast,

  2. It is definitely a surreal experience to know that we are living in such times as these where prophecies are being fulfilled before our very eyes! As you & I talked about, the scariest & craziest thing happening is the strong delusion many are under. We must stay in the Word & obedient to it & yes we will look like fools to those that are deceived, but we are not to look like them anyways. Holy Spirit will give us all we need. Love you sister!

  3. I think all of us wonder just what the situation on our planet and our nation will be like before the rapture occurs. With even a cursory understanding of the events written in The Revelation, it is all very unnerving to say the least. Thank you for your insights Lori.

    • Thank you Mark, and yes there is so much to wonder about. A lot… time will surely tell, and perhaps sooner than later. Things are moving so fast.
